Confirmation is designed for students in 6th, 7th, & 8th grade, and is the process of a youth transitioning from childhood to adulthood in the eyes of the church.
At Baptism parents and godparents make promises on behalf of the child such as to bring them to the Lord's Table, teach them the 10 Commandments and the Lord's Prayer, and to put scripture in their hands. During Confirmation, 6 to 8th grade youth learn about the Bible, Lutheran theology, and how to live life as a disciple. Learning Events occur on Sundays from 6:00-7:30 pm. After completing this 3-year journey, they affirm their Baptism and claim their Baptismal promises and faith life as their own.
