- What do I need:
- Suggestions:
- Make sure all your money has no tears or marks on the bills - Peru shops will not take torn or marked U.S. money
- Do not wear a lot of jewelry
- Make copies of your Passport and place in different locations of your suitcases. If lost, contact US Embassy at 434-4000
- Avoid eating food prepared on the streets.
- Drink only bottled water or drinks from cans.
- Walk in groups on the streets. You are normally safe, but in groups you are even safer.
