JUNIOR HIGH CONFIRMATION YOUTH MINISTRY

An opportunity For youth in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade
to grow in faith and learn about God.

Purpose

Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. Micah 6:8

Goal

Walking together in faith-our way of life.

How

Worship- experiencing a community of worship through being at worship, serving as a worship assistant and occasionally taking notes.

Learning- building our faith OVER THREE YEARS of study through Old Testament, New Testament, Our Christian LIFE (The Creeds, Lord's Prayer, Catechism) and A Faith statement project.

SERVING-being the hands and feet Christ through different service projects at Living Word and in our community.
(Project examples are: We feed people, VISITING Sunrise assisted living, Summer Day camp Helper, Angel food Ministry, Support the troops, Adopt-a-highway, help with the Global mission festival, Pet blessing, a mission trip or other service projects)

Fellowship- inviting friends and having fun together through Winter and Spring Retreats, Lock-ins, Large & small group fellowship Events, Confirmation camp and other Summer activities.

Jr High Sunday School

Jr. High Sunday School is grades 6th-8th and meets every Sunday morning (September-May) from 9:40-10:40am in the Gathering Place for a time of fun, friends, fellowship, and learning about God. We take time to get to know one another, play games, and look at how God is present in everything we do in our lives. Come be part of the conversation as we grow together in our faith and Christian community. There are always donuts and welcoming people, it is never too late to start coming and friends are always welcome!

        1. General Registration-6th, 7th or 8th grade
        2. Parent/Guardian Commitment Form
        3. Youth Worship Involvement Form
        4. Turn in Completed Youth Medical Information, Covenant & Release Form with $75 payment
