How do I join the church?
It’s very easy! We hold quarterly new member orientations that are held after the 11 a.m. worship service. A light lunch is served, and we will give you some information about the church. You will also have a time to ask questions of our pastors and other staff members.
What do I wear to church?
There is no such thing as a dress code at Living Word. The 6 p.m. service tends to be the most casual of all of our four services, as people may be coming from sports activities, out of town trips, that sort of thing. The objective here is to come and join with us as we celebrate God’s grace and acceptance for all. We strive to follow Jesus’ examples of welcoming all people, without judgment of any kind including attire. If you do have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the church office.
Baptism…is it only for infants?
No. We baptize people of all ages. Baptisms are celebrated the first Sunday of each month, the Sunday before Thanksgiving, Christmas, The Baptism of Our Lord, Easter, Pentecost, Trinity and All Saints’ Sundays at 11 a.m. and all Sunday evening services. You do not have to be a member to be baptized or have your child baptized at Living Word.
Just call the church office to schedule baptisms.
How do I schedule a wedding and do I need to be a member to have a wedding at Living Word?
To schedule a wedding, simply call the church office and schedule a time to meet with one of our pastors. It is not necessary to be a member to schedule a wedding, and you will be assigned a wedding coordinator.
Do you have a preschool?
Yes, called The Learning Center (TLC) that offers child care for infants through preschool as well as private kindergarten. We also offer before and after school programs and Mother’s Day Out programs. We have certified and specially trained teachers and we are state licensed.
